Since 2018, JUMPSTARTER IdeaPOP! has been giving students comprehensive startup experience through pitching, mentoring and networking opportunities. In response to popular demand, this year we decided to extend our eligibility criteria to include all tertiary students in Hong Kong.

Who can Apply?
  • All tertiary students in Hong Kong, from diploma and associate degree students, undergraduates, post-graduates to PhD students.
  • We are looking for student teams who are enthusiastic about entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.
  • Your team may be comprised of students from different institutions. No more than 4 students per team.
How to Apply?
Online Submission

Submit your application online with a PowerPoint deck up to 15 SLIDES in PDF format.

The selection of the Top 30 student startups is based on your submission material, which will be assessed by our judging panel. Please ensure that you have completely filled out the information according to our requirements.

The 8 teams with the highest score will advance to the final round.

Your team will pitch online to a panel of top-notch judges including established entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and industry leaders.

Who is on the panel of judges?

Student startups will be selected and ranked by a panel of judges, including industry experts, investors and startup experts, who represent local and global startup communities.

Can I represent multiple teams?

No

Who is eligible to apply for JUMPSTARTER IdeaPOP! (Tertiary Students)?

Students, who currently hold a valid student ID card issued by one of tertiary institutions in Hong Kong, are eligible for JUMPSTARTER IdeaPOP! (Tertiary Students).

Can we submit an idea which out of the 4 core industries?

Yes, we welcome ideas from other sectors.
